“As an artist and a professional consultant working in the non-profit arena, I continue to have a strong interest in the transformative power of the arts as an agent for healing and change.”  ~ Scott Stoner

Meet Scott.  Scott Stoner joined the Project Knitwell board of directors in February.  Scott’s professional life has been devoted to bringing the arts into the lives of those who need them the most, including those facing challenging illnesses, members of marginalized communities, and those seeking to bridge cultural divides.  He has worked as an educator, art therapist, fundraiser, strategic planning consultant, and non-profit administrator.  He developed programming at numerous arts organizations including The Kennedy Center and Smith Center for Healing and the Arts – one of Project Knitwell’s partner sites.

Scott says: “As an artist and a professional consultant working in the non-profit arena, I continue to have a strong interest in the transformative power of the arts as an agent for healing and change.”   We look forward to tapping into Scott’s expertise as we seek to strengthen our programming and our organization.  Of course we are also eager to show him first-hand how knitting can be one of those agents for healing and change!
