Project Knitwell is proud to be a beneficiary charity of National Harbor’s World Wide Knit in Public (WWKIP) Day on June 11, 2022 from 11am – 3pm in the main plaza and pavilion area at waterfront. Visit www.nationalharbor.com for more information on the location.
World Wide Knit in Public Day started in 2005 and since then has been celebrated in more than 57 different countries. The mission is: “Better living through stitching together!”
AT Haynes House Yarns and PassionKNITS Yarn are partnering with PK to create a Fiber Fest Vendor area, Learn to Knit area, and Silent Auction to benefit more wellness and comfort in our community.
If you would like to volunteer to help teach knitting at the event or if you have any questions, contact PK’s Volunteer Coordinator, Jenn Benecke at jbenecke@knitwell.org.
We strongly encourage attendees to wear a mask and maintain proper social distancing while in the vendor booths and when in close proximity to others. This event is free to the public, but please let us know you plan to join us by registering online at www.eventbrite.com/e/dmv-fiber-friends-world-wide-knit-in-public-day-2022-registration-322506294007.
Come join us for some fiber fun and community on June 11! We look forward to meeting you.

Come to the PK Resource Table to pick up a Resource Guide or Bracelet Kit designed by Jenn Benecke, our Volunteer Coordinator, available by donation while supplies last.
